Rachel & Luke, Temple Church and Inner Temple, City of London
We were approached six months before the wedding by Rachel to provide the flowers for her marriage to Luke. Before we met a deposit was paid to secure our services for the day, this was a flattering testament to our service.
Meeting with Rachel and Luke, on a very wet Saturday morning, was a great deal of fun and very inspirational. They had both thought very carefully about the flowers and how they wanted them to enhance the look and feel of their day – love, fun and a relaxed elegance.
We discussed the flowers, styles and vases that were preferred as well as the areas of the venue and the Church where flowers would be required.
A further consultation was booked for two months before the wedding to refine the proposal, look at pictures of the standing wedding dress, finalise the designs and organise the schedule for the day. Further discussions took place with both the Church and the venue to organise our installation times.
The day before the ceremony we decorated Temple Church, creating a beautiful scene with clear perspex pedestals housing large clear glass vases, into which we arranged masses of pure white lilies.
On the wedding day we delivered bouquets and buttonholes to Rachel and Luke at their respective hotels.
Three members of the Karen Woolven team installed the designs at Inner Temple, whilst another member of the team checked the flowers in the church were still perfect – removing any visible pollen stamens before the guests began to arrive.
